It is all about the hair...

Although many of you may know, not all do... but I have long hair about 5 inches long. It has been with me since the beginning of Spring Quarter or longer. It has been with me through hardships and fun times! But today, I decided... it was time to remove the locks... which remind me of the sorrows that still haunt me from summer.

Today was also the day I began my Summer Break. As I will take a two week long break from work. There was some unfinished work, but I left it to my supervisor to see and work on. :) After leaving work, I bought two fish tacos to satiate my hunger. It was very scrumptious and delicious!

While eating, I noticed someone familiar walk by. Waving my hands high and in a joyful manner, he stared at me for about 3 seconds before making a recognizing face. He told me that he was confused when an asian with long hair dude was waving at him. He did not recognize my appearance, as he thought I resembled an asian person who knew kung-fu (which I do not know). He also mentioned that I was like a version of Jackie Chan! Intriguing news! I told him that I would say good bye to my hair. And to my surprise, he was showing a great deal of shock! "No!!! Don't do it!!" And to make sure he would not forget my appearance, he took a few pictures of me.

I soon made my way to get my haircut. The barber that cut my hair was quite amazed at my glorious locks! I had long hair! So he automatically assumed that I just wanted to get my hair trimmed slightly or put into maintenance for making me "Simply Beautiful". However... I told him to just give me a buzz cut. He was shocked! He asked again to make sure that I was serious... and I was pretty serious. Just cut it all off.

He started on my hair with a pair of scissors, but the thickness of my glorious hair was too strong for mere scissors to handle. "Wow... that is a lot of hair," he said. He switched to shears and began shaving off the sides of my head. With every shave of the shears, he said, "That is a lot of hair." It is as if I couldn't see that it was a lot of hair! To make the hair look nice, he began to cut the hair in a shredding way. Again... he started to repeat the same thing that he was saying the whole time. I saw much persistance in him, continuing to say this even if his he cuts hair as a profession. My haircut was finally finished!!!

My parents and family were shocked to see my hair so short. They thought I was someone else. My friends were also amazed with the short hair!
