Today marked the first day of school, starting my 2nd year of Masters. Arriving at around 11 am, the burning sun had already risen high in the brilliant sky. It showered everyone with hot rays as the air was hot and humid like an oven at 400 degrees. Today is a VERY hot day. I was wearing shorts and a short sleeved shirt, as I treaded my way around campus. The campus was bustling with rowdy people, along with news reporter vans along side the turn around.
Following the route called Bruin Walk, I sought to look through the crowds to see if any familiar faces could be found. Unfortunately... none... I did realize however, that the reason for the news reports to be on campus, is due to the rally that some graduates, staff and faculty were doing. Apparently, due to the deficits and budget cuts, UCLA in winter and spring will raise their in-state tuition by 33% while raising out of state tuition by 2 times the amount. This was indeed devastating... but the rally wanted students, faculty and staff to not attend class or go on strike. I would love to help... but... I really needed my classes.
I journeyed my way over to the Graduate Lab, and there I found my friends, where we caught up on a lot... since I haven't seen them for a while... This lab is quite interesting, as it is EXTREMELY cold (where the AC is cranked up to the max). Due to staying in the lab for around an hour, I was ice cold, and had to seek the warmth from the sun. Leaving the premises of the building, I was thawed of my coldness. Warm once again, I started walking around, as I had an hour to kill. I managed to bump into a lot of friends and acquaintances. :) It was a very joyful and happy time. Resting on the grass... looking into the sun while sipping some ice coffee... Relaxing... but that must come to an end, as I journeyed back for class.
[Skipping Class Information ~ Boop]
Class ended around 3:40 pm... BACK HOME!! WOOO!!! REST!!!... 5:10 pm...
Then, I received an email telling me to email another graduate student about information regarding a human body model, where we could possibly work together on a project. I did not know his email, so I sought to find it by looking through the net. It was indeed a success as I found someone with the same first name. So, I emailed him telling him stuff... only to find out that I EMAILED THE WRONG PERSON WITH THE SAME FIRST NAME!!!... oh wells... :) Good day overall... Except now I gotta wait to see when I could meet with this person for discussing research projects...
